A successful two-day conference in Providence, in partnership with the University of Mississippi Medical Center and Whitman Walker, showcased our latest clinical trial for PrEP. The event focused on collaborative training and strategies to enhance patient retention in HIV prevention services.
We trained over 200 students from the health professions in how to promote health screenings in underserved communities. Our students went door to door in a Philadelphia community with 4% HIV prevalence to offer HIV and HCV testing, screening and care to Philadelphia residents, and offered testing on a mobile medical unit. We also partnered with a local health center to offer all patients who walked through the door testing services, and linking patients to care who tested positive in our door to door campaign.
This assessment examines how SNAP incentives influence healthy eating habits among Food on the Move customers. Most of our customers are Hispanic or Latino, or Cape Verdean, and many are older adults with limited access to fruits and vegetables in their communities.
The campaign focused on enhancing HIV screening and care for men who have sex with men and connecting with partners online through targeted social media outreach. This program helped promote our new HIV prevention, screening and care services at Open Door Health.
This initiative in Philadelphia helped a federally qualified health center integrate routine preventive health screenings using EMR prompts and provided ongoing staff training.
Training equipped federally qualified health center staff with the skills to evaluate and enhance the success of their medicated-assisted treatment (MAT) programs.
