Our programs have garnered local and national acclaim, including awards for public health innovation. We proudly operate Open Door Health, Rhode Island’s first LGBTQ+ clinic, and Food on the Move, a leading mobile produce program. We also spearhead the Nourish RI coalition to boost healthy eating through SNAP incentives and run a major Ryan White HIV treatment program. Our diverse initiatives tackle food insecurity, nutrition, HCV, HIV, STDs, and more, all aimed at reducing health disparities and improving community well-being.
Current Openings
Medical Assistant [FPO]
Under general supervision by the Clinical Manager, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the Medical Assistant will perform clinical and administrative tasks that reflect the age-specific needs of the geriatric, adult, and adolescent patient.
Patient Navigator [FPO]
Patient navigation in the primary care setting refers to the assistance offered to healthcare consumers to help them access and then chart a course through the healthcare system and overcome any barriers to quality care.

- Apply Directly with RIPHI – Submit your resume and a brief statement of interest outlining your background, skills, and why you’re interested in interning with us. Applications can be sent to info@riphi.org with the subject line “Internship Application – [Your Name]” or using the submission form below.
- Apply Through NEPHTC – We also partner with the New England Public Health Training Center (NEPHTC) to offer additional internship opportunities for Public Health Students. Interested students can explore openings and apply through the NEPHTC website: https://sites.bu.edu/nephtc/students/
